We are looking for an exceptional individual to work with our International Team to take forward the work that we do with young people.
The key role is to maintain and develop IF services in existing member schools and to deliver those services as required. It is to develop and manage strong working relationships with school decision makers and users of IF’s services.

With its headquarters in Wallingford, IF has a long track record of providing careers information, advice and guidance and skills development to young people in the UK and internationally. A regional network exists throughout the UK with teams of guidance professionals in Scotland, the North, the South West and Wales, the East of England and in London and the South East. Over the next three years, the Company aims to build on our strong market position and, through innovative new services, be able to help in excess of 250,000 young people every year in the UK and abroad.
The key role of the International Regional Director is to maintain and develop IF services in existing member schools and to deliver those services as required. It is to develop and manage strong working relationships with school decision makers and users of IF’s services.
Purpose of the Job
Regional Directors are guidance professionals who manage and develop a portfolio of schools working from home. They work closely with school heads of careers and are responsible for ensuring that schools receive first class information, advice and guidance provision. This includes psychometric profiling, group sessions, one-to-one guidance discussions, attending parents’ evenings and careers/higher education information events, talks and running workshops. The role will involve regular travel within Europe and sporadic weekends, up to 5 days in one location with occasional back to back visits.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate first-class guidance and management skills and be qualified to a QCF Level 6/SCQF Level 11 or working towards the qualification. Knowledge of other education systems apart from the UK would be advantageous.

We require a self-motivated, experienced and committed individual who can work flexibly and develop good team-working skills with other members of the regional team. The job provides great variety and the opportunity to develop services for schools. The candidate will be experienced in working with young people in the 14-19 age range and evidence of careers and higher education work in an academic school or college is highly advantageous, as is knowledge of psychometric profiling.
Salary £36,740 full time (0.7FTE equates to £25,718.00 per annum) plus following benefits:
